8/8/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 95 pointsSpectacular. Beautiful perfume, great balance of burgundy fruit with the subtlety of a 22 year old wine. Flavors of strawberry and cherry, great length on the finish. |

3/18/2015 - Curiosovino wrote: 91 pointsNot bad, most of the sweetness has dried out at this point and tastes more like an amarone. Nice secondary plums and raisin flavors dominate. Drinking well and unlikely to improve much from here. |

2/28/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 92 pointsQuite a nice bottle of chablis. Nice flavors of lemon and salt. This has the stuffing to age. Will be interesting to revisit this wine in 5-10 years. |

1/24/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 95 pointsThis is really great wine. Very elegant for a Bordeaux, had almost Burgundian qualities. I often find Bordeaux to be a little one dimensional, but not this one. One of the best Bordeaux wines I have had in a while. |

2003 Henri Bonneau Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Marie BeurrierRed Rhone Blend more |
2/5/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 94 pointsI decanted this for around 3 hours, but I think it would have gotten even better if I had decanted it longer. Nevertheless, this was really great Châteauneuf and the wine was a little surprising given the vintage. It really didn't have any of the characteristics of other 2003 Rhones I have had. This was very fruit driven but not over the top at all and the alcohol was very well integrated. |

1997 M. Chapoutier Ermitage Blanc Le MéalHermitage Marsanne more |
8/8/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 95 pointsA truly unique wine. At first there are aromas of fermented apricot and apple, a little like armagnac, but without the heavy alcohol/spirits quality. The flavor really comes forth after about 30 minutes in the decanter. A rich, ponderous wine, more for winter sipping along with a little foie gras. |

1978 Tenute Cisa Asinari dei Marchesi di Grésy Barbaresco MartinengaNebbiolo more |
1/26/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 95 pointsDecanted 3 hours before drinking. Very high toned and well structured wine, typical for '78 Piedmonte. Very solid wine, excellent flavors, with lots going on. Happy to drink this wine anytime and it appears to have the stuffing to age for many more years. |

2017 Clos Cibonne Tibouren Côtes de Provence Château Cibon Cuvée Hommage à Mariusmore |
7/15/2022 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 94 pointsThis stuff is pretty amazing and it just got better and better over a 5 hour period. Best rose I have ever had and I've had some great ones (Lopez de Heredia Gran Riserva Rosado, Valentini Cerasuolo, Ch Simone, Peyrassol (Le Clos Peyrassol), Tempier, Bagnol, other Clos Cibonne roses and many more). Could easily stand up to some grand cru whites. Also agree with previous notes, that its color is more orange than pink and it definitely has a touch of oak on it. Really delicious. |

3/27/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 91 pointsNice nose of spice and good fruit. Drinking nicely now, but is just getting into that maturity window and should have a nice long life ahead of it. Classic La Rioja. |

3/1/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 89 pointsInteresting wine, strong smell of olives on the nose, dark cherries on the palate. An interesting wine, a little like a Cornas, although I wouldn't say it is as good as a top Cornas. Wine has a lot of sediment, so would recommend decanting it. |

3/1/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 93 pointsAt first it was a little muted but this was quite nice and really came around and opened up after a two hour decant. Had great structure and has really come out of its shell, showing a nice burgundian elegance. Flavors of raspberry, strawberry, a little cherry. Nice spice on the wine too. A pleasure to drink. |

2/8/2015 - Curiosovino wrote: 82 pointsPersonally, I found the wine to be quite bland, not flawed in any way, but with fading fruit. Was hoping it might improve with time in the glass, and I even decanted it for an hour to see if something more might show up, but unfortunately it faded even more. Has a nice bouquet on the nose, but the palate is quite muted. Hoped for more. |

1/25/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 94 pointsTook a while to open up, but after 45 minutes or so it really got going, picking up lots of complexity. Hints of eucalyptus, tiny hint of olives, etc. A really delicious bottle of wine. This wine will be able to age many years longer, not going anywhere. |

1/26/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 85 pointsAt first this appeared oxidized and I was about to pour it out, it was a deep yellow color and had a slight burned caramel nose and taste. But I decided to just let it sit in the bottle opened and came back to it an hour later. I am glad I did not pour it out as it picked up some character and complexity. It became more waxy and had hints of lemon and cream with an almost petrol like quality. Nothing mind shattering, but an interesting wine for sure. Would be good to drink with a hard cheese, nuts and a maybe little honey - it really does need some food. I really have no idea how long this will age for. The slightly oxidized nose and color lead me to believe that probably this wine should be drunk sooner rather than later. And it does get better with some air, so don't be put off by the initial flavor and put it aside for a bit and come back to it. Decent stuff. |

3/28/2015 - Curiosovino wrote: 78 pointsFruit mostly gone. It develop a nice burgundian aroma, but the palate never matched the nose. There was a small moment where it had a little spice, but for the most part the fruit was gone and palate was dead. Not too surprising since the wine was made by Chartron et Trebuchet. |

2/28/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 92 pointsThis was quite good. Took a little while to really open up, but nice flavors of orange peel, vanilla, and cinnamon, almost Christmas cider like qualities. Overall very good and a very enjoyable wine. |

7/15/2022 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 92 pointsQuite good, opened up nicely. Very enjoyable, loads of fruit, but very balanced. Some browning which gives away it's age. No need to wait on this any longer, in a good drinking window now. |

2/12/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 90 pointsVery nice old Rioja. Fruit still hanging in, but certainly a wine to drink up over the next few years. Had nice old flavors fruit flavors, probably hints of strawberries as the most prominent. Very elegant wine, with a beautiful perfume. My only wish was that the fruit flavors were a little more pronounced. Still, it did open up a bit during the dinner, even though I had given the wine a 30 minute decant prior to the dinner. Still, on the whole a nice wine. |

2/5/2015 - Curiosovino Likes this wine: 94 pointsI thought this wine was very good, if not outstanding. It is what we anxiously hope for when we pop a bottle of great white burgundy. This had it all, that great chardonnay flavor, richness, hints of cream and absolutely no sign of the dreaded burned caramel and toffee flavors of premox. This wine was actually made by Roulot, who made the wine from their first vintage 1993 through 1999. I have had this wine twice in the last month and both times have been outstanding. Both times I gave the bottle a 30-45 minute decant to let it open up. If you ever wanted to see what Jean Marc Roulot could do with great Puligny vines, here is your wine. |

2/5/2015 - Curiosovino Does not like this wine: 75 pointsSeemed to be diving towards complete premox. Burned caramel notes. Some fruit, but barely holding on. Not very enjoyable, half went down the sink. |
