Popped and poured, with no decant. Instantly got some sweet dark fruit and oak upon opening, and after time in the glass it turned almost towards a zin-berry like amalgam of aromas. Medium bodied, pretty even keeled on the mouth, with a decent finish. Nothing other worldly, but definitely a no-nonsense/straight forward cabernet, and I'd struggle to recommend a better $17 cal cab from my past experiences. This is drinking well now, and I just don't see a reason to sit on these any longer if you have them. |
