At first it was some spice, sweet floral fruit, acid, some oak, a bit tight though smooth tannins. Thought it was a beautiful, soft 2013/2014 traditional Super Tuscan (Cab Sauv., Merlot, Sangiovese). Recorked after 2 hours. Reopened at 5 hour mark - alcohol, tannins, acid more prevalent, fruit masked. Blew off after 15 min., but last glass at 8 hour mark was shut down again. Give this time. |
