The Sixth Annual Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir (Houston, Texas): Retail $45. Medium color with cranberry and a bit of meatiness on the nose. Fantastic on the palate with lively fruit (cranberry and cherry), brilliant tartness, a touch of earth. Yeah, whoa. Outstanding. 95 Points.

This is a very interesting wine! A non-off-putting bitter melon hint overlying the lemon, green pear, green apple and saline notes. Long and structured acidity. 2024-2030.

100% Pnoir aged in SS, big and bright, lots of unripe strawberry with a little melon. Very much a juicy wine, not particularly dry. Has a somewhat creamy mouthfeel.

-translucent bright gold
-expressive smoky oak lemon
-med acidity, med weight nicely concentrated faint lemon brown spice smoky oak
-fairly complex Cote d'Or-like, seems the new Copain crew is a bit more wood-driven

-translucent light med gold
-sweet ripe apple pear
-med acidity, med weight soft textured gentle subtle ripe orchard fruit capped off with saline minerality faint caramel and a toasted almost burnt element on the relatively long finish
-ok, probably needs a year or two to open up

Served with grilled pork tenderloin, rice, roast green beans.
Brilliant ruby/scarlet, almost sparkling.
Nose of strawberry and cherry. Moderate acid.
Didn't hold up as the evening wore on.

The Fifth Annual World's Largest Blind Tasting of American True Rosés: Retail $32. 100% Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley. Light pink with a very fruity nose and some red flower. The palate is lovely. There might be a touch of RS here, but it works, at least for me.

The Fourth Annual World's Largest Blind Tasting of American True Rosés: Retail $32. 100% Pinot Noir. Lovely pink color. Strawberry and red flower. -med/med+ acidity, med/med- weight crisp orchard fruit, prominent oak
-a crisp wine with nice cut that is marred by a little too much oak, seems like it is trying to be a generic oaky Napa chard rather than the Copains of old
