1/6/2024 - Chrly78 Likes this wine: 91 pointsTypical scent of Bordeaux with cedar, black currant and oak. In addition there are red cherries in the taste with some bitterness. An elegant Bordeaux. Medium+ body, medium acidity and medium+ tannins. Good value for money and approachable at young age. |

9/30/2023 - PatrikH Likes this wine: NRAningen överekat som försvinner efter någon timmes luftning. Balanserat, skaplig längd, simpelt, relativt mörkt i smaken och sträv ek som hänger kvar. Hint av vanilj och choklad ifrån fatet. |

4/19/2019 - Jeff Leve wrote: 90 pointsA solid Bordeaux value year after year, here you find a nice gulp of ripe, dark, cherries, round textures, hints of licorice and a splash of cocoa. The wine is soft, medium bodied and can be enjoyed on release. 89-91 Pts |

3/15/2024 - Nfmds Likes this wine: 93 pointsInitially big fruit (wild blueberries) and cinnamon in the nose. Mellows to tobacco, dark cherries, and warm spices after opening a couple of hours. Nice structure with drying tannins—really needs steak or other meaty dish. Very nice Bordeaux! |

11/19/2023 - lkilpio Likes this wine: 91 pointsThis medium/full-bodied wine is balanced, pleasant, fruity and intensive on the palate. With its fresh acids and grippy tannins, the wine is structured, but by no means in a harsh way. The wine is displaying nice notes of dark and red berries, ink and wet forest floor. This wine is tasty now, especially after decanting, but it is also suitable for mid-term ageing. |

10/11/2023 - Burgundy Al wrote: 86 pointsClassically Bordeaux with good black fruits, faint spice, roasted meat, and firm tannins. More structured and less elegant vs what I expected based on previous entry level 2016 Bordeaux. Better to cellar, since I think there is plenty of fruit here. |

3/21/2023 - markjanes wrote: 88 pointsvery deeply colored, purple rim. on the nose quite exuberant. very merlot'ish to me with plenty of casis tinged plum. there is some new oak in there. not really cigar box bordeaux but crunchy merlot. on the palate high acids, a full midpalate, finishes with a moderate amount of firm tannins and moderate alcohol. balanced wine with good length, very good intesnity, ok complexity. is more rustic than finesse driven has a very nice texture and very good expression of place. i liked this a lot, it has plenty of life left (easily 5+ years) and I wish I would have bought more. |

12/17/2022 - Portland Seth Likes this wine: 92 pointsPnP while still lightly chilled. Dark color. Cassis, mushroom, pencil shavings, whiff of tobacco. Tannins started off smooth but had surprising grip on the back end. This is what I like to drink and at a great price. Last night I had an Argentinian Cabernet that cost more and tasted exactly like red licorice. This has perfect balance between fruit and savory elements. It's pretty rare that I score a wine higher than Jeff Leve but in his defense it was five years ago. |

11/4/2022 - Lemari Likes this wine: 93 pointsDecanted 30 mins. It continued to open up over 2+ hours and will reward you for a healthy decant. A harmony of black fruits greets the nose, not terribly big but quite agreeable. Classic mouthfeel of a Merlot dominant wine blended with CS for structure that maintained delightful balance over a medium+ length finish. This is an outstanding wine, a classic example in a classic vintage of why the Listrac AOC shouldn't be so overshadowed by the historic Médoc big names. |

There is depth but it lacks elegance. On the nose it is quite linear and reserved. Without edges with a moderately fruity character. |

11/3/2017 - PanosKakaviatos Likes this wine: 89 pointsAssessing Bordeaux 2015 from bottle, part I; 11/2/2017-11/3/2017 (Bordeaux): Ch Fourcas Borie offers you a real deal. Merlot with 25 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and a whopping 15 percent Petit Verdot this vintage. Lots of verve and nuance, this sap driven wine does not make it to the "90s" only because the finish is attenuated but for the price? Go for it! Designated as an official Cru Bourgeois and aged in just over 25 percent new oak - all well integrated. |

9/10/2020 - pepmi wrote: 88 pointsThis wine is yet another example of the high quality, Cru Bourgeois wines on the market today that have left behind the legacy of weak, insipid Medoc wines of the past. It offers the deep, inky purple of say a new world wine, yet with far greater nuance and complexity. Perhaps you can't truly tell a wine by its color! |

7/11/2021 - Stuart10er Likes this wine: 91 pointsRuby red with transparency at the edges that is still purple but with a hint of brown. Nose is earthy, pepper, and raspberries. Moderate tannins with a finish of blackberries and pepper. Nice balance with the tannins and the acid. Starts with the tannins and finishes with the acid. Nice fruit still full that emerges as the finish lingers. |
