By the 2nd day it was shining with red plums and black cherry, menthol, a touch of smoke. Fully translucent red-ruby, bright & shiny in appearance. Bangingly open nose w earth, tar, fresh leather, balsamic & pure scents of cherries & raspberries, lavender & smoke. Surprisingly supporting palate, crunchy texture, again balsamic, deeply concentrated fruit, v vinous, closing on a bitter-sandy note! |

It is highly concentrated with puckering tannins that were very prominent on night one, less prominent on nights 2 and 3. The dark fruit began to appear on night 2 and was more apparent on night 3. The obvious conclusion is that it is not yet ready to drink. I suspect that it will be much better in another year or 2. |

Grippy tannins and mouthwatering acidity. This needs at least 5 more years. Really nice Chianti Riserva. |
