On the palate, medium bodied citrus/lemon, pear, pineapple, blossoms, brioche, hint nuts, medium acidity with a long finish to slightly oaky, saline, chalky minerality. The small degree of malolactic fermentation definitely adds to the freshness, but this vintage seems oakier than previous ones. |

Great weight, long finish. Enough acid and tannin to stand up to roast chook and veggies. Tannins and fruit tend to the black tea bitter side, rather then the sweet side. Still nice red berry fruit, plummy, spices/herbs, black tea. Smooth. Dusty tannins, mid length to the finish. |
