Mencia - Bierzo, Spain. #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-really nice; good dark plum flavors wrapped around some cracked black pepper; very intense fruit; really focused; little clove; some V8 juice; TASTE-I get a nice basil & green pepper component; a really great, textured mouthfeel; great silkiness; great intense blackberry & mulberry; a little creaminess from the oak; this wine is very balanced; very polished; very intense; well-made; this is a SPECTACULAR effort that will last 5-7 years; JM-91; GV-92+ 92+ points |
