Citrus, ripe apple and stone, quite open and rich, and fresh and vibrant. Good for this level.

Wow! This is just spectacular QPR for sub-$30 and a pleasure to drink. Pale straw color. Crisp tart orchard fruit and lemon curd on the nose, which follows over to the palate with a touch of nuttiness. There’s also some saltiness, like drinking a sea breeze. Concentrated with a 30 second finish. Première Cru without the price. Delicious pairing with the shrimp piccata. 91-92.

WSET Teaching Level 3 for Burgundy (Stellenbosch): (Tasted Blind): 2020 Daniel Dampt Chablis 1er Cru Cote de Lechet. Mid-yellow to light gold colour. Aromas presents minerals, pulverized rocks, oyster shell and tidal pool qualities with hints of oatmeal and light toast. Penetrating. The palate enters with apple flesh and a chewy apple core with an oyster shell texture and lingers on into the finish. Still rather tight, there is a steely, minerals and quarry dust quality to the mid-palate making the wine a little unforgiving. Crisp, horizontal acidity this left a white-knuckle tension on the finish that I enjoyed!
Sourced from the Cote de Lechet, SE facing slope

No Detailed notes: Decent run-of-the-mill Chablis. For €10 at Domain, this is actually pretty good.

Pale lemon colour. Medium and developing nose with ripe green apples, ripe lemon, white peach, butter, flint and wet stone. Medium tater of ripe green apples, ripe lemon, white peach, butter, toast, flint and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Chablis Premier Cru. Needed an hour of air to open. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with cheeses, fish or shellfish.

Wine Cellar - France, Burgundy, 2006 (mostly) (Wine Cellar, Cape Town): (Tasted Blind): A greenish straw colour. Soft toasty notes and a hint of oxidation on the nose. A rounder mid-palate with some richness and mid-intensity. It is dry with a mineral edge and decent fruit but does not have the concentration of Premier Cru. It lacked vibrancy, making the wine appear dull on the palate. Aged in second-fill barrels

Wine Cellar - France, Burgundy, 2006 (mostly) (Wine Cellar, Cape Town): (Tasted Blind): A fresh and vibrant wine that offers mineral, flint, green apple and pear, flint and a hint of aniseed. No oak is noted, and the wine is bone dry. Refreshing acidity with a subtle creaminess and richness. Well-balanced and relatively expressive.

Chablis (Bottega Coco): Sulphur, green apple, lemon, slight rich, a touch of savoury underpin. Medium plus intensity acidity, lemon and stone fruit, silky textured burr, long with a little smoked bacon joining on the finish. Arguably a little simple but this is balanced and lovely.

By the glass. Elegant, precise with great definition on the nose. Citrus and mineral notes predominate. The palate is a demanding wine, with a flint finish, very fine, extreme acidity that gives depth. Interesting.

Por copas. Elegante, precisa y con gran definición en nariz. Predominan las notas cítricas y minerales. Al paladar es un vino exigente, de un final de pedernal, muy fino, de una acidez extrema que otorga profundidad. Interesante.
