Thick line of tannins on the finish with loads of leather, more fleshy plum, and a quick cherry note before the oak roars back on a long finish. Missing just a bit of zest. |

The wine is fruit forward on the palate with raspberry, blackberry, strawberry, and peach. The body is rich and the consistency is silky, and it all comes together with a persistent finish. Overall this is a good varietal wine with fine tannins. This particular Carlisle vineyard is among my four favorites along with Bedrock, Mancini, and Saitone. |

This is the most delicate Papera I’ve ever had…elegant and graceful with citrus and blackberry berry and subtle blueberry. Nose is mostly blackberry. I’m timed the how long the finish lasted after a some mouth swirl…25 seconds! Wow…just a beautiful wine…careful with food pairings as I think heavy food will likely overpower it. Years of life ahead in the cellar but great now as well! |
