Disgorged October 2022. Pours a light yelllow with green highlights. Lots of toastiness on the nose along with Meyer lemon. On the palate, reserved bubbles and very acidic, with a salty marine character. Definitely a close Chablis-like Champagne, which I understand the producers are after.

Pale yellow golden
Much funkier on the nose, a bit of salt, marmite. A few lazy bubbles. Much more full bodied, richer, crispy apples, tart tatin. Less acid but it's still there. Not as long a finish.

pale golden color, with very fine mousse testifying the relative age of the wine.

The nose is fully developed with limited possibilities of improvements: fruity notes are present in the form of apricots, yellow peach, and some light citrus mature fruit (lemon juice), but the secondary notes are the dominant flavors: bread, croissant, butter notes gives the nose an uplifting complexity, while toffee and caramel are the tertiary components coming from the 10+ years of age.

In the mouth the wine is pretty refreshing, with medium+ acidity and a medium body (medium alcol). The mid palate tends to slightly drop and the acidity becomes slightly dominant, to go back to full integration in the aftertaste. The perlage is ridiculously fine, definitely the main feature of the wine. In the aftertaste, notes of butterscotch and lingering citrus fruit, almost tending to candied variety.

A very refined product. The acidity is always on first stage, making this a wonderful food-friendly wine. The stellar vintage is shown in the variety of flavors and liveliness of the palate: this is an entertaining product, and it won't fail to deliver interesting discussions. Removal of a few points is caused by the slightly spiky acidity in the mid palate

France Trip; 6/29/2023-7/10/2023 (France (Paris, Burgundy, & Champagne)): Tasted as a glass
90/10% Pinot noir / Chardonnay
Less minerality than some other champagnes. Less bite, likely due to more PN.
Not getting the bubbles, possibly because the bottle was open already so might be flatter than it should be
Nothing bad here outside the lack of carbonation
I actually enjoyed it but know it has little carbonation if that’s the style
Nothing overly complex though

Would want to try a fresh bottle to see what I may or may not have missed here

Well rounded. Light and perfect for ringing in the new year.

Bright apple and hint of brioche. Really rounds out and mellows with a bit of time. Delightful.

Its a Blanc de Noir with 30% reserve wines, aged for 2 years in oak barriques. Pale yellow colour. Rich and complex aroma of apricots, ripe apples, cherry blossom, toast, strawberry and honey hints. Palate has a complex profile with zesty fruity flavours, spices from oak barrels, bone dry pleasantly austere acidity. Mousse is fine with vinous base of low pressure. Extraordinary effort from admired champagne grower.

From 2013 release, so in-bottle for 10yrs (start of 3rd case) and probably the 2007 debut vintage - nothing on cork or label. This continues to be a wonderfully taut under-the-radar brut zero champagne. 50/50 pinot chardonnay, only 10% new oak, fermented 10 months then 60 month maturation sur latte - all in barrique. Zero dosage. Very vinous with noticeably ripeness and body from fruit, combined with piercing acidity - fantastic with food but also matches aged cigars well. No oaky or creamy notes at all, and just a little yeast. This is almost all fresh lime, lemon, minerals and notes of jasmin - a 1er Chablis with bubbles. With extended air the wine deepens with dried apricot and ginger notes. Love it. Enjoy this most weekends with eggs Royale brunch - cuts through the salmon and butter. Drink to 2025

70 % Pinot Noir und 30 % Chardonnay, hier ein Musterbeispiel, wie sich die beiden Rebsorten gegenseitig helfen. Frucht und Körper sowie Säure und Eleganz, der Holzausbau der Grundweine spielt auch noch gelungen mit, nur 3 g/l Dosage. Gewinnt mit Luft und Temperatur dazu. So gehört sich das.

100% pinot meunier from the Cote des Bar d/g 06/20

Apple chutney and rising bread dough on the nose. Rich butter apple pastry on the palate with caramelized red cherry tart mixed in. A touch of candied fruit wrapped in carmelized richness. This is the quintessential rich and hedonistic style of champagne. Perfect for someone getting into champagne and looking for the "it" factor.

Récolte Noire is made entirely from Pinot Noir with a minimum of two years aging in the bottle and with a dosage around 5g/L. The base wine is fermented in used Puligny-Montrachet barrels. The Recolte Noire is less fruity and more earthy than most Blanc de Noirs. White-golden in color, this is a fine, fresh and delicately fruity Champagne with just a hint of oak. Intense, fresh and lush on the palate with citrus flavors with toasty hints and a full-bodied rich finish.

Served well chilled. Clear, nice and full bubby stream. This is excellent juice and well above its price point. Bright, clean, balanced, one could drink this all day. Nothing off. $39

Soft, very enjoyable champagne. Not at all dry, and not much brioche or oak character. Some stone fruit notes. Really the best description this time around is “soft”, but not in a bad way.
