3/6/2024 - cjoetucker@aol.com Likes this wine: 91 pointsDark ruby, with lighter rim, this displays tobacco, black cherries, oak, spices, and pepper on the nose. Dried cherries, currants, blackberries and chocolate flow across the palate to a long and lingering finish. Medium bodied, rich, with soft, smooth tannins, this is elegant and enjoyable. Great QPR. Nicely done! |

2/29/2024 - BottleScholar Likes this wine: NRRipe red cherry, boysenberry, black plum, green and black olive, green bell pepper, fresh oregano, light "sweet" vanilla, toast, and warm baking spice. Inky purple color. M+ intensity. M+ concentration. Full body. M+ acid. M+ rustic tannins have a bit of green stemminess, and would benefit from more ripeness and integration. Solid QPR, and would benefit from more finesse. M finish. Good quality. Big ripe mostly-smooth wine is a crowd-pleaser. 92% Carmenère, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Syrah. |

2/26/2024 - Ara Kafafian Does not like this wine: 86 pointsDecanted 1 hour, dark colored, notes of chalk, crushed stones, peppers, blackberries emerge from this medium bodied wine that ends on a hot and austere finish. I’m not sure if time will resolve the harshness. A disappointment considering it’s $26CAD price tag. Drink now. |

1/25/2024 - Z1nnfull wrote: 87 pointsSomewhat of a disappointment over three bottles. Just shy of Varietally correct but yes. Overly robust and fruity without the depth and character of a decent Cab. It’s ok, just probably better choices at this price point. Had high aspirations for Lapostolle dating back many years, but overpriced for the lack of quality |
