Still good citrus and meyer lemon fruit with a perfect acidic balance. This was complex and nuanced on the palate, with a medium length finsh. Excellent. |

3/18/2015 - shallIshantI Likes this wine: 89 pointsPlenty of gooseberries and melon on the nose. Very pleasant. Some citrus. Does taste 'tropical' without being overly sweet. This went very well with fish and I can imagine good on its own as well. For a £11 wine, it's up there with bottles twice the price. |

3/11/2014 - dolce0404 Likes this wine: 85 pointsGreat sauvignon blanc with nice minerality. Flint and stone aromas with flavors of passion fruit and grapefruit on the palate. Some hints of boxwood and black currant as well. Drinks well on its own as long as you like more mineral sauvignon blanc as opposed to some of the fruit forward citrus bombs more common to New Zealand. |

3/17/2012 - Tim221 wrote: 84 pointsThis one depends on your preferences.. the wine was light, almost colorless, with a very light bouquet of fields of grass. The taste was pleasant, low acid, low sugar, slightly minerally and grass-y (which is characteristic of NZ Sauvignon Blancs I believe). Limited aftertaste. So, if all that sounds good to you, this is your wine. I tend to like my whites bolder, crisper, with more color and bouquet, so I was disappointed. It's not bad, it's just okay. |

9/27/2011 - rrschrumjr wrote: 86 pointsExtremely light in the glass; very pale yellow, almost clear. Very nice nose. Tropical fruits, lemon, citrus, and perhaps even cream-coated banana. The mouthfeel lacks acidity at all stages, which is too bad. The fruit flavors are somewhat monolithic -- sweet lemons, a touch of pineapple, and some mild creaminess. The fruits may even tend toward the over-ripe and honeyed, at the finish. Some stoniness on the finish, too. Bright at first at the front of the tongue, but the spark fades as the wine sits in the glass. I like that this wine had a lot going on -- interesting for an inexpensive Riesling. |
