The mouth entry is juicy and soft, with a faint apple cider and slight sweetness. Conspicuously missing are the upfront penetrating and driving acidity of most champagnes, and any lemon or lime fruit. But decent acidity does kick in after the swallow, which thankfully gives the wine a scrubbing and cleansing finish. Overall, easy drinking and enjoyable, but lacks what makes Champagne distinctly great. |
