This bottle was not ready to drink...but wonderful potential...maybe 2026?
Nez : fruits rouges...baies, épices-bois, cannelle, petites fleurs sauvages, sous-bois, écorce, soupçon minéral...calcaire. Beaucoup de matière en bouche...tannins poussiéreux. Un vin charnu / charpenté avec des saveurs de fruits noirs et d'épices. Complexe et structuré. Prochaine bouteille après 2026. 88++

Red and dark berries, juicy acidity, a light dose of pleasant oak. Round acidity and a good length. The wine entered its young maturity stage and will offer pleasant drinking the coming 3 – 4 years.

Espresso, cocoa, cherries and floral aromas open the wine. On the palate, the wine is round, forward and chocolatey with a dusty note in the red fruited finish. You can drink this on release. Drink from 2024-2032.

Selection Schwander, selected by Switzerland's first MW. If you are looking for a 20€ right bank bottle that will please both a larger crowd and connoisseurs alike, this is your wine. Very good aromatics as so typical for 2016, with excellent freshness and drinkability. I love the dark fruit, spices, earthy elements here, light on its fee but not thin. This is why we love today's Bordeaux in the low price segment. Cheap, but never simple. Highly recommended!

Requires a couple hours of air.
Fruit-forward and well-balanced, with nicely integrated oak and fine tannins.
Good QPR and in a good place to drink.

I disagree with the previous notes. Great nose and looks good. Still a lot of acidity mixed with medium to dark fruit and very good length. But not easy to drink on its own but will pair well with the right food.

Medium garnet. Med+ intensity. Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, red plum, leather, raisins, quince. Medium acidity. Med+ tannins. Medium+ finish. Very good wine and excellent value. Could be kept longer but suspect this wine is in a good drinking window.

In the bouquet red and dark berries, some minerals and day 3 some chocolate as well. On the palate the same impressions, a pleasant, light dose of oak, good acidity, round tannin with still some bite and some length. Not great, but certainly good. In its early maturity stage now and when stored properly ok until 2028+

Savoury plums with a firm backbone of acidity developing spice and tannin. After a promising start, a musty note crept in and the finish was a tad bitter. From past experience I might have expected a little more richness and a better finish which convinced me that this was corked. As it stands 85 pts but I’m marking the bottle as faulty.

3 of 4 bottles and almost two years since the last bottle. A much better experience than the first two bottles. A lot more darker fruit and less sour cherry. May forget about the last bottle for a few more years and see what happens.

Still dark plum-purple red - no ageing.
Lovely floral perfumed nose: violets/bluebells/hyacinths, underlain by a delicate meatiness (eg fresh butchered lamb).
Medium body, still some tannin but softening, floral, tobacco juice some acidity.
Good length.
Better with food.

Bought at winery in 08/2018, bought the split for crazy low price. Drank entirely tonight, Varietally correct, but a bit of a fruit bomb, not as balanced as better Bordeaux. That said enjoyable and plenty of life left. Speaks well for 2015 Bordeaux aging well and long.

Tasted the 1997 and 1998. Was surprised by how dark red both wines were after 25+ years. Initial nose was berries and fruit. The '98 was a little more earthy. Very smooth. Subtle tannins. Long finish. '97 was longer finish. Personally preferred the '97.

Nose: black currant, blackberry, smoke, coffee, licorice, leather
Taste: full bodied, high tannins, medium+ acidity, black currant, prune, chokeberry, dark chocolate, salty notes, leather, green bell pepper, black pepper, quite long tanninic finish, big structure, sapid, ripe, dry and a bit rustic in a good way

Lusciously-textured, dark-cherries, coffee beans, and licorice already show well in the round, supple, fresh, medium-bodied, plummy wine. This is going to be simply delicious on release. But, if you allow it a year or so for the oak to better integrate, it is going to be an even better wine. Drink from 2025-2037. 91-93 Pts.
