10/5/2023 - timewithwine Likes this wine: NRWhat’s not to love about this wine? The color is something between cranberry and ruby; simply stunning in the glass. The nose is packed with violets, sweet cherries, sour cherries, mushrooms and forest floor earthiness only to be followed by a hit of baking spices (but not Asian 5 spice) on the finish. Tremendous balance and beauty with every sip. While drinking quite well just now, the balanced fruit and acidity should carry on for a number of years. Absolutely no sediment. 13% alc. With grilled yellow fin tuna steak under tomatoes and olives. 10.05.23. Highly Recommended. |

6/24/2023 - seeyouintee Likes this wine: 91 pointsPours clear burgundy with a watery orange rim. Nice nose of mushroom, cherry, cranberry, leather, cigar box, a bit of loaminess or moss, and some light floral notes. Palate is the same. Peak drinking. Medium acidity, light body, light tannins. |

3/6/2023 - caspernick Likes this wine: 91 pointsWe recently dined at an amazing Parisian restaurant where the entire menu, wine included was extremely reasonable yet of such a high caliber that I will include some pictures. We drank two bottles of Burgundian Pinot Noir, the first being this Chorey Les Beaune. I did not want to detract from dinner so very basic notes were taken. |

3/6/2023 - caspernick Likes this wine: 92 pointsDeep ruby. Rich aromas of cherry pie, pomegranate , coffee, chocolate and raspberry. Medium acidity, medium (-) tannins and a medium (-) body with flavors of red fruit and silky oak spice carrying through to a medium finish. 92 points from me for this $41 stunner makes it a 5 star wine to seek out. |

9/16/2022 - DoubleMagnum Likes this wine: 93 pointsHard to believe there still is red fruit in this. Notes of savory herbs, cedar, blood. On the palate, it is bright, red fruited and with rusty nail and sanguine notes. The finish is vibrant, elegant and alive. I think this can hold for another five to ten years but why risk it. Beautiful bottle. |

9/17/2022 - ConnieO wrote: NRfrom our wine store: : The 2021 vintage is shaping up to one of elegance, finesse and complexity and the Pascal Maillard’s entry level Bourgogne Rouge is easily the best under-$30 Bourgogne Rouge on the market right now. it is impeccable balanced, offering the perfect weight. Earth-tinged aromas of wild strawberries, violet & rose petals, red raspberry, and orange zest are highlighted by hints of tea leaves and a strong mineral core attributed to the limestone-laden soils of Chorey-Les-Beaune. On the palate, the wine offers superb weight and balance, a tribute to Pascal’s technique and winemaking prowess. The wine’s elegance and finesse on the palate is balanced by a real depth of flavor offering a beautiful interplay of savory herbs and bramby fruit. The finish is long and inviting, with real persistence and complexity |

8/4/2022 - oldwines wrote: 89 pointsDark golden yellow. Made in a very oxidative style. I get a lot of burnt butterscotch, dried apricots and a mineral undertone. It’s rather round with quite modest acidity. It went quite well with a tilefish dish and Foie Gras terrine but didn’t go well at all with tuna poke or a crab salad with an avocado gazpacho. Mixed emotions for me… interesting but I would not call it delicious. |
