3/20/2022 - ChateauShiny Does not like this wine: 80 pointsTasted Blindfolded. First thing I get on the nose is an aroma of nail polish remover and hair salon. Underneath the VA is an aroma of green apples and pears. Some aggressive bubbles on the tongue, medium high acidity, on the sweet side, and simple. Palate of green apples, pears, and a little bit of limestone. Short sweet and tart finish. |

On the palate, this is dry, but not totally dry. Apricot and marmalade flavors over top of medium acid. Not great, but gluggable, especially considering it was given to me by a hotel that screwed up my room. With it's sour apple and lemon zest, this wine seems like a candidate for bellinis or some other sparkling wine cocktail for brunch. |

3/17/2012 - Mike Kopanski wrote: 83 pointsNothing special, but also nothing really bad. A pretty inexpensive, simple, sparkler that we buy for Mimosa's and 5PM happy hour. We much prefer the brut to the extra dry. Did not realize the brut is from New York, and the extra dry is from California. Crisp, light, and easy on the palate. Could use a little more intensity on the bubbles. White flowers and yeast on the nose. Not much color. The apple and pear fruit are balanced decently enough with a yeasty acidity. You get what you pay for. |

1/10/2012 - Mike Kopanski wrote: 84 pointsWe bought this to make Mimosa's, for which it is eminently qualified. I pulled out a flute and poured a glass. The color is pretty light, almost clear. Cute little aggressive bubbles. Crisp and dry apples and pears. Smooth, only last a few seconds in the mouth. Finishes absolutely clean. |
