Medium-dark ruby. Smelled red and black cherries and a little orange peel; the taste was sweet raspberry, cranberry, cherry. Medium mouthfeel balanced nicely against the fruit, not much tannin evident, but good acidity; the finish goes fruity and medium in length. Very appealing and almost cheap enough to be chuggable.

Classic terroir and vintage character here, a pleasant, sappy mid-palate along with lovely balance and smooth appearance. The 2002 vintage has this veneer that hides the true depth and character however.

Bright, deep ruby in colour. The nose is intense and perfumed, with suggestions of dark raspberries, plums, griotte cherries and parma violets. Full and slightly creamy, the silky mouthfeel brings flavours of smoke, roast espresso and blackberry, with a frame of vanillin oak. Floral, vivid and aromatic. With roast lamb rump, sweetbreads, morels and salsa verde. 93+

Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of charming fruity red cherries. Developing.
On the palate, dry, very high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), fine medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet sexy red cherries, sticky red berries, strawberries, licorice, fine earth. Long finish.
Very good quality. Lovely youthful exuberant red fruits. Not a sin to drink already. Some more development might just enhance the complexity and enjoyment also.

Tertiary and starting to unravel already. Not as good as the bottle I tasted 5 years ago. Time to drink up.

Appearance is mildly cloudy, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of killed animal decaying carcass on forest floor earth (love this smell combi), leather, dark Chinese herbs, red cherries underneath. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), smooth medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet red cherries, meaty animal carcass, decaying earth, dark herbs, touch of licorice. Medium+ enxtening to long finish with more air.
Very good quality. There is good Grand Cru body, but fruit starting to thin out a little already. Drink up. All of us guessed correctly that this was the 2004 Musigny.

Appearance is cloudy, pale intensity, ruby-garnet colour. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of hawthorne, dark meat, masculine earth, black cherries, dark red cherries. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), super silky smooth medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet hawthorne, savoury dark earth, stony minerality, elegant dark red cherries, dark herbs with a tinge of medicinal Ling Yang. Super smooth mouth-feel. Very long finish.
Excellent quality. Drinking at peak. Yes this was old, but oh so good. Never expected this to be from a rainy soft weak vintage.

Appearance slight cloudy, pale intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. Legs.
Nose medium+ intensity, with aromas of mintiness, feminine sous bois, sexy red cherries, iron meat with more air. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), initially silky medium tannins gaining more structure with more air, medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark mint, sexy ripe red cherries, elegant sleek sous bois earth, hint of meatiness. Long finish.
Very very good quality. Wow never would have guessed this vintage. Still drinking so well prime time. Perfectly matured with no signs of going downhill yet.

Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow lemon clour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of florals, brine minerality, honeyed fruit. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of salty minerality, honeyed ripe peach, yellow apples, smoky integrated toast oak, touch of butter. Long finish with a slight bitter edge.
Very good quality. Nicely integrated already. Expressive and drinking very well. Still good freshness.

Nice floral and strawberry nose and fine tannins. But out of balance: the acidity is so high that it has a pixy stix candied sourness. Undeniably nice until you reach that point, the wine suffers from it.
