Drinking perfectly now in the apex of full maturity, although there appears to be np hurry to drink this wine. |

Sweet, and pure varietal character, with a touch of funk that adds complexity. I liked the wine's balance, which was an outstanding example of cool climate pinot.A wine that follows its own path -I'm sad that the winery no longer exists. |

The palate , while not at all French, was also beguiling, in a richer, more ripe style. The intensity and definition of the nose is a particular strength of this bottle. Drunk at its plateau, but this particular bottle could have certainly aged further. Stunning wine. |

Ripe, earthy and slightly funk nose with a rich, involving palate and wonderful authority in the seamless finish. While this is clearly a new world wine, the level of complexity and involvement mark it out as an excellent wine. This will age for another five years, minimum - it is currently in very early maturity and I believe it has the requisite parts to improve further with age. |

Complex, round and really fun to drink. Beautiful balance for a big chardonnay - certainly the acid balance is in excellent harmony with the fruit weight and oak nuances. Prominent oak tannins on the finish add an impression of dryness and gives a bracing finish to the wine. I did not know what to expect with this wine due to its age but this wine is going strong. This reminds me and is a commensurate level to many Kistler chardonnays I have enjoyed in the past. Full marks to Dick Meure and his idyllic hectare of vines. |
