The name ‘Kapellenweingarten’ refers to the six small chapels that enclose the vineyard; it is one of the highest vineyard in Styria (almost 600 meters above sea level / calcareous sandstone soils). Maturation: aged for twelve months in used oak barrels. Color: bright pale yellow with silver reflections. Bouquet: initially a bit closed but it opened up beautifully after fifteen minutes with aromas of gooseberry, passion fruit, lemon zest and some hints of mint and fennel. On the palate: a well-balanced medium-bodied wine dominated by ripe and concentrated pear, citrus and grapefruit with a solid structure and a finely integrated acidity. Finish: long harmonious aftertaste with a slight touch of bitterness. Optimal enjoyment: now–2027. |

Beaucoup d’arômes de verdure, légèrement sur les agrumes, mais pas les notes exotiques des régions plus chaudes. Pas trop tendu - assez équilibré, se buvant bien. Rien de complexe, mais très bien pour quelqu’un qui aime le Sauvignon. Curieuse de voir comment ça va évoluer davantage en cave. |

Good acidity on the palate with more lemon notes, orange, citrus zest, and quite a bit of dry extract on the palate. Long finish. Really impressive wine and outstanding Sauvignon Blanc. This is drinkable now but I'm sure will age well. 96+ |
