Developing, med + intensity aromas of strawberry fresh and dried, pomegranate, dried raspberry, cranberry (dried, juice, sauce), black tea, amaro (gentian, dried orange peel, wormwood), smoke, dried herbs (lavendar, marjoram), spice (star anise, black pepper). In the mouth, the wine is med - bodied, med + acid, med tannin, low alcohol, pronounced palate intensity, med + finish. Overall, very good. Drink now, not suitable for further aging. I think this is as good as it is going to get for this wine, though a few more years probably won't hurt it. Complex on the nose and in the mouth, very much in the German style, it's a "light" wine that really packs a punch, and is quite expressive. Impressive and worth the wait. |

It's a white blend and there's no indication of what all is in this (seems like some Gewurtz to get the floral notes and also Riesling), but for the price, there's a lot to like here. |
