The nose is full of vanilla and tobacco from the time in barrel, lots of earth and mushroom mixed in. On the pallet you immediately get how dry yet smooth this wine is but once it opens up after a while the red fruit, cranberry and black cherry really starts to shine. |

Much more vibrant the a 750ml Winderlea Pinot I had a few weeks ago, which had hit the downward slope. |

Left with some baking spice and especially brown sugar along with strawberry. This is a delightful wine. It’s very light but lively. Strawberry, black tea, cherry, baking spices on the palate with a little tar on the finish. |

Palate is the same with a touch of bubblegum. Still fresh, but showing nice complexity, I think this could easily go another decade. Medium body, medium tannins, medium acidity. |

Juicy raspberry fruit. Some tannic tea notes. Sweet but still good balance. Some spice. I think I like the Schone Tal wines from this vineyard better. Dave always is able to coax the most out of this vineyard. |

Brambles , tart cherry, subtle florality, sousbois, consistent palate, lifted mid palate. Finely grained tannins, Medium length. Needs a bit more time, which may lend tension and intensity but lovely overall -92. |
