Nose pops with white cherries and strawberries, along with notes of honeysuckle, mint and orange blossom. Crisp acidity, moderate but balanced sugar adds some creaminess and sweetness, but it stays refreshing. Notes of tangy strawberries and juicy cherries, with some nice tea, white pepper and floral perfume tones. A nice salty kick on the finish as well. Melot, Cab Franc and Cab Sauv. |

8/9/2017 - studleytrey Likes this wine: 91 pointsBlend of 70% merlot and 30% cab franc, and "can be kept for five to seven years or more," according to the bottle. Well, at 10 years, it's drinking mighty nicely for my palate; in fact, I'm on a little run here of Long Island wines that are probably past the expected prime, but are really shining with some age. Might be time for another trip up soon. |

2/2/2013 - cliffkol wrote: 90 pointsBouquet of red and blue fruits. This was my (and Jerry's) favorite of the Baiting Hollow wines. Firm tannins that should soften and resolve with time but well integrated at this point. On the palate, red and blue fruits, slight spices and oak. Well made blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Long finish. (C#1; D#2; J#1) |

4/19/2008 - BrandrB wrote: 86 pointsTasted this at the vineyard; this was – by far – my favorite of their reds. Blend of 70% Cab. Franc, 25% Merlot, and 5% Cab. Sauvignon. Light-to-medium bodied. Red berries, cherry, and spice flavors. Quite mellow. An excellent value in North Fork wine. This makes for a great everyday wine. |
