Didn't really show "aged", just weird. I really couldn't enjoy this, so I dumped it. Tasted over 2 days without any change. |

5/10/2024 - Rich S Likes this wine: 92 pointsBursting with ripe orchard fruit on the nose along with some honeysuckle and white florals. A slight hint of petrol starting to come through as well. Similar flavors on the palate with juicy apple and pear notes with a spritz of lemon and floral notes. Excellent acidity but balanced by ripe fruit gives a nice rounded mouthfeel but still quite juicy and lively. Fantastic bottle of riesling. |

Medium-bodied, this is high-toned with excellent acidity. Black cherries, cranberry, pomegranate and rust on the palate. This is quite high-toned and acidic for me, I was hoping for a bit more richness and depth of flavor. Drink now. 91 |

5/3/2024 - JonathanFlavell Likes this wine: NRMid ruby, with nose of strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, black cherry, vanulla, cedar & smoke. Good body, strong acidity, smooth tannins. To taste cherry, strawberry, raspberry, vanilla & smoke. Long finish Little backward to start but really opened out with a lot of depth and flavour intensity. Outstanding. Lovely now, but worthy of some more cellar time. |

4/26/2024 - JonnyG Likes this wine: 93 pointsUnder screw cap. In far better shape that another bottle of this I opened some years ago, which was advanced. In fact, if I were scoring off of the nose alone, which was extraordinary, it would merit something in the very high nineties, with evident reduction expressed as sulfur and tire rubber, alongside loads of rich, ripe tropical notes and some lemon and spice. The fruit was equally ample on the palate, as was some oak spice, but the wine finished with enough phenolic bitterness that I found it distracting. Still, a very fine showing. |

From memory the impression was pretty much the same now as the first time. The wine is a bit muddy or cloudy so something isn't quite right. Could be the coravin degraded or prematurely advanced to irrecognition this time. Tastes like a burgundy with some age, very confusing. Unfair note so disregard. |

4/19/2024 - oakville72 Likes this wine: 90 pointsVery obviously a warmer climate Pinot Noir, even tho it's from the Anderson Valley. Not sure of the clones, but it tastes a lot like the Wente clone. Medium color. Quite soft yet plenty of character. More plum than raspberry. Appealing but certainly more California than Burgundy. Good value on wtso.com. |

4/18/2024 - 831900_ Likes this wine: 89 pointsTypical Patricia Green nose: a mix of earth, creamy berries, some pleasant greenness and a touch of cola in the background. The mouthfeel came off a little creamy, leaving me wanting a bit more acidity. |

4/14/2024 - wthad4 Likes this wine: 96 pointsIt’s been 3 years since the last time consumed this vintage and all I can say is WOW!! It’s hard to believe it could have gotten any smoother with time…::but it has. Decanted for 45 minutes and it was just a lovely balance of red fruit/acid/tannins. The finish still lingered as before, but that is a good thing. Still seems like it has life left in the bottle and while sad to be done with 2013, it holds promise to what other Square Peg vintages can become…….if you can keep them “laying down” in your cellar! |

4/8/2024 - wthad4 Likes this wine: 92 pointsFirst of this vintage and it seems to in a good place right now. Nice red fruit and a finish that is a little on the shorter side. Overall a nice RRV that is very enjoyable now but has plenty of life left in the bottle. Will try and wait another 18-24 months with this vintage. |
