A slightly sweetish wine with a very fresh aromatic and medium viscous mouthfeel. Apple, some fennel seed and a tremendous amount of limestone. Like in the 2019 I get a limestone dominant mid pallete and once again the wine is loaded with acidity. A young wine worth hunting down as it will improve a it is very lively right now.

Paul Hobbs definitely nailed this dry Riesling w/their young Seneca FLX vineyard. Looking forward to more vintages going forward-the 21 is different but just as good. Whenever in FLX visit this wonderful new winery.

This is a special wine, and as a work in progress, could have a really bight future. I consumed this over several days, vacuuming it and refrigerating it each day -- with minimal if any degradation.
Color is straw gold, but on the gold side so fairly rich, which matched its body and taste.
Nose is a combination of citrus, peach/pear, and I believe that i tasted the elusive "petrol" for the first time. Also a slight grassiness or spice, not sure. Quite complex and forward in any event.
Body is richer and more viscous than most (cheaper) Rieslings. Nice feel and length.
Flavor matches nose, mostly, but of course with the more subtle aromatics missing (bit there form the nose - how ODS one separate them...?)
I expect this has a long life, and i tried it as a baby. Anyway i think its terrific.

This is the beginning of something very special... Paul Hobbs doing a home state project with complete devotion to Riesling on Seneca Lake.
