12/27/2014 - bestdamncab Likes this wine: 86 pointsSubdued nose of plum, spice-dried cinnamon sticks, touch hot, more of the same on the palate, not disjointed, but not well balanced, consumed over 3 hours and no improvement, medium body and medium finish. |

12/24/2014 - thebonnydooner wrote: 90 pointsRicher than expected. Was expecting more of a Chablis weight wine but this is ripe, flavourful and distinctive. The semillon is ripe and full and the muscadelle for sure adds the floral complexity. Overall very enjoyable, even though I needed something with a bit more zip. |

I continue to be impressed by this white Bordeaux blend from Buty, and find it to be a great QPR, rich, medium bodied, and refreshing. Lanolin, white stone fruit, honey. |

I think this is suffering the fate of many big fruit-forward wines where the fruit fades, the acid/tannins are there but just nothing really special is doing on. Don't get me wrong, still enjoyable but I don't really see this aging much further. |

11/28/2014 - Stelvinator Likes this wine: 92 pointsBlackberry, black pepper, and a bit of cream on the nose. Fruit driven, medium to long finish. Tannins are approachable but still assertive. Drinking well now, probably would improve still over the next couple years. |

11/13/2014 - Jimywags wrote: 89 pointsPopped and poured. Now this was an interesting Rose to drink. Much more in the savory side rather than electric bright red fruits. Weightier, with baked fruit flavors. Strawberry preserves, warm watermelon, and steaming hot rhubarb pie. Fortunately, this worked as I drank it on a night the weather was chilly. Definitely not a summer Rose but certainly a winter Rose. 89pts. |

10/25/2014 - aChave Does not like this wine: 85 pointsLight orange-red-rose color. Syrah-dominated. No real flaws, but to my taste it lacked freshness and balance; too heavy on the palate. Those who like a more red-wine-styled rose might like it better. |

10/25/2014 - CloserIam2Wine wrote: 87 pointsUnremarkable but pleasant quaff, with little complexity and lots of sediment. Structure is nice, medium body with perceptible tannins on the finish balancing +acidity - drink it with food. The fruit will hold on for a bit but I don't know for how long. Will give it a go next year to see how it's holding together. |

10/18/2014 - La Cave d'Argent Likes this wine: 93 points2014 New York Wine Experience Trip; 10/14/2014-10/21/2014 (New York City, NY): A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon and 24% Syrah, this opaque crimson/ruby wine has all of the elements that are necessary to stand out. It is a full-bodied offering which delivers black cherry, dark chocolate, clove, tree bark and bramble fruit aromas. The flavors mirror the nose and are supported by nice acidity and big sweet tannins. Listed as 14.5%, the alcohol is beautifully integrated. The bramble fruit nuance builds in the middle and becomes dominant on the lengthy back end. This is nothing short of impressive! Enjoy it over the next decade. Drink now-2024. |
