This is the liveliest and most interesting of the sweet wines, relatively fresh and light, slightly lower in alcohol (15.5% vs. 17-18% for the more traditional Banyuls cuvees). |

This was our favorite of the sweet wines, with flavors of walnut and fig, an excellent value at 23 euros but still, to my taste, lacking in balancing acidity. |

If you drink it too soon the taste is a bit flat and mostly of dry sherry. Later (at least 24h) it becomes very rich, well balanced and of orange fruits. I’ve read a review that said apricot and candied pears. I agree, especially with the candied part, the taste is very creamy. Altogether it is a very enjoyable wine that fits well with foods like pork and egg. Not like any other wine I’ve ever had. |
