Quite disappointing for the little identity it manages to express, the bubble isn't as persistent as you'd like, and ultimately lacks that characteristic that you would attribute to a specific terroir or particularly skilled hand.

Abbastanza deludente per la poca identità che riesce ad esprimere, le bolla non è persistenza quanto vorresti ed alla fine non ha quella caratteristica che riconduci ad un territorio o ad una mano particolarmente illuminata

Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Again more red then black hued fruit initially, plums, strawberry over blackcurrant & bramble, a little almost poached rhubarb note, some cream, vanilla, with time the blackcurrant grows on the nose. That rhubarb note translates to the palate joining the blackcurrant fruit, tannins are slightly chalky, coarse, with a touch of astringency, all travels long. Okay.

Medium minus intensity aromas of ripe red fruit and earth, with agitation a touch of mocha, blackcurrant, sweet spice joins cedar, savoury, a little hard; again red fruit, plentiful chewy tannins close tings down a little it's a touch astringent as well. Meh.

Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Slightly oxidised caramel, earth, leather, red over black fruit, plums over currants, a little forest floor/sous bois, with time in glass black fruit gains the ascendancy with some pyrazine. Juicy, fleshy, drying tannins are talc textured but in support of the softly fleshed red and black fruits, a little leather, mushroom and earthiness in support. Nice.

Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Pretty blue and black fruit, plums currant, berry, sweet spice, touch of cedar, slightly jubey. Ooh, slightly more red hued on the palate, berries, plums with a blackcurrant in the background, woody though softly textured tannins, complete the picture, funky, savoury, slightly meaty with fresh herbs. Hmm

Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Ashy herbaceousness joined by tomato leaf, a little red fruit and biscuit behind this, with time a burnt toast note. Plenty of drying tannins, a little unripe blackcurrant accompanies those herbaceous notes. One for the pot!

Juicy, fleshy, savoury dark hued fruits, cedar/leathery tannins grip the palate, fruit persists, finishes long assisted by non-intrusive alcohol warmth with a little creamy note. Yum

First bottle of a case bought on release. Expressive elegant pinot nose with red and black fruits. Power and tension combined. In its early drinking window as tertiary aromas have not emerged yet but still very good now.

Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Wet forest, brambly black fruits, touch of undergrowth, baking spice, distant bonfire, with time a little sweet fruit lozenge and blackcurrant. Juicy, fleshy, generous, a lake of black hued fruit is paddled affectionately by oaken oars, gentle black tea rasp to the tannins, long. Lovely.

Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Bramble, blackcurrant, forest floor, wet undergrowth, autumn berries, leather, slight bonfire, cedar, slight farmyard and a touch of rot, mushroom here as well. The palate is a reflection of the nose, surprisingly fruit sweet considering age and vintage, tannins are drying, slightly coarse and slightly apart from the fruit and flavours, not integrated though it does not detract. Nice.

A private dinner (Restaurant Bennie's, Amsterdam, NL): Organic viticulture, in conversion to biodynamic, 15 months in foudres and French oak, 14% ABV. Delightful black cherry fruit, liquorous but fresh, violets and roses, palpable stony grip, good weight but avoids excessive ripeness, spicy slate, silky texture, gently grippy tannins covered in flesh, concentrated but transparent, generous and rounded but with a clear and precise expression, youthfully tight and dry finish, very good length.

Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Blood, graphite, fresh blackcurrant, leather, sweet spice, slightly lifted notes, confected raspberry in the background with some herbaceous elements showing almost rosemary, in the mouth the fresh black fruits are slightly sour, graphite, leather, a little mushroom in support, tannins are a woody rasp across the palate; like tongue kissing Pinocchio's cat. It's all rather oddly present.

Coravin fun - Bordeaux (My place, Burwood): From Coravin. Little bit of cellar stink, red berry and cherry, touch of bramble, wet earth, mulchy leaves, mushroom, slight cedar and cigar box, leather, savoury spice. Super juicy - medium plus intensity acidity without being sharp, those red fruits underpinned by bramble are a little closed out; an impression reinforced by the coarse flour textured tannins. Lovely, smashable.

PnP, then drunk over three evenings.
Cork is a diam 10, which seems to do its job very well. The wine color is light yellow with green hues. It looks very young. Also the nose gives the impression of a young wine: not much on the fruit anymore, but a classic Cote de Beaune, with no sign of evolution yet. Quite tight on the palate, but it relaxed and became more enjoyable on day 2, after a day in the fridge. A very nice Puligny and absolutely no hurry for the remaining bottles.

A private dinner (Restaurant Bennie's, Amsterdam, NL): Organic and biodynamic viticulture. Made with 100% Moscatel de Chipiona from "El Camino del Puerto" from "Pago Abulagar" (0.7 ha), 15 months in French oak, 14% ABV, 1550 bottles produced. Rich Muscat aromas and rich and ripe fruit, the nose not unlike a fortified Rhône Muscat, quite dry and refreshing on the palate, good freshness and lots of chalky energy, clear and pure expression, nice fleshy weight, attractive bitters and yeasty complexity, convincing and expansive finish. Excellent and interesting.

Still dark red, bordering on black. Bouquet still delivers ripe berry fruit esters. Sadly, falls on its face in the palate, all soft and smooth with little tannin. Quaffer status confirmed.
