It's not undrinkable wine, but it is super boring. If you like ripe, lush, and round with lackluster acidity and structure, have at it. |

Stored in excellent conditions 58-60 degree average, dark and quiet. Popped the cork on Christmas Eve ‘23. Allowed to breathe a few minutes, but no decanting required. Very little bitterness for a Rhône wine. Smooth, balanced, and wonderful. Drank half the bottle. Stopped and pumped for the night. Christmas Day (afternoon), was gorgeous and lovely dark fruit, not overbearing, what little bitterness that was there disappeared. Dry and wonderful. A very pleasurable wine. Under proper conditions could go more years, but great now. |

Not a big fan of 10+Y C9DP so I tend to drink them before that time frame... And I was right, thanks to the colder vintage this is super lively, nice tanin structure and acidity that preserved the fruit. No sign of tertiary aromas. It's super fruity, and bright. Red peach, black and red berry, powdered tanins, and lovely cocoa/chocolatey notes. |

Mouth: Excellent expressiveness and length. Still fresh and with some grip. There is a slight aroma of charcoal. The alc. of 14.5% is well hidden but still a tad noticeable. I would drink up in the next 4 years. |

Previous bottles were all fruit but this bottle tasted like it had been fermented with some of the stems still intact, as there was a nice undercurrent of forest floor. Cherry flavors still dominated but the earth added another dimension and an old-world touch. |

Beautiful pure red fruit like raspberry jam and grenadine on the nose, and a fleshy, low-acid, very pleasing sappiness on the palate. This is the kind of wine I would pour for someone who has never tried Chateauneuf-du-Pape before, or to the [rare] misguided soul who claims not to like French wine. It's not especially profound or complex but it's very much a wine of pleasure. |
