Tasted this wine at the Wines of Germany: Perfectly Riesling Guided Tasting at Prowine Singapore 2024.

Ripe pears with green apples, and yellow stone fruits. A very refreshing drink and welcomed relive after a heavy drinking session. Lively acidity and beautiful minerality.

Ends off with a slight touch of old worn socks.

My expectations for a kabinett were not met with this wine. It was reminiscent of one of those “blue bottle” sweet, sweet, sweet rieslings. Crisp acidity was absent.

Slight fizz once wine touches tongue, slight flavors of melon and crisp apple, medium bodied with a smooth and clean finish. Low acidity yet just the right amount of sweetness to this riesling.

I unfortunately didn't have time to take extensive notes but this is already drinking very nicely and should cellar well for at least another 5 years (if not more).

CONCLUSIONS:
Quality level: very good
Potential for ageing: can drink now but has good potential for further ageing

Petrol, apple and maybe carmelized banana on the nose and palette. We enjoyed this very much and look forward to opening more as they age.

Wines by glass at Advivum Prague (Prague, Czech Republic): By glass at the musical Advivum Prague.

Light gold. Nose of lychee and gummy bears / flavored wine gum, along with a bit of reductive funk. On the palate, this is fresh, citrusy and crispy if a little thin. Finished on a sour pinepaple crisp. Plenty of simplicity here but beauty lives elsewhere. 89 points

High acidity. Medium body. A good Riesling Spätlese Trocken that lacks some complexity. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with fish, shellfish or sushi.

Very pale green color. Almost syrupy in the glass. Nose of apricot, honeydew with hints of flowers and petrol. Glycerin like texture in the mouth. Medium acid, full bodied. Flavors of melon and lime leaf with a touch of marzipan. At 7%, pretty sweet, even for a Kabinet. Would have liked it more if they carried fermentation a little longer.

VC Wednesday night group (Ypsilanti, MI): Whipped cream on the notes. The silky texture here is irresistible. Not fruity, yet there is much phenolic roundness and chewiness that leaves a rich impression by trocken standards.

On my way to my summer holiday vacation in Cornas, I needed some cheap but refreshing Riesling to soften up the heavyweights wines from the region in Cornas. 8 Euro’s in Mosel 🤪🤪 - Great, Job done. Apples, citrus, flowers and just a little hint of petroleum. The taste has great acidity and a nice bitter “crunch” at the finish. Nothing big, but definitely worth seeking out if you need a cheap bottle with all standards intact…

Fantastic. Light petrol that goes away. Typical fruit character. Apricot and peach with other notes. Very complex and great drinking. Nice acidity

Light gold color. PNP, drank a glass over 90 minutes. This was so vibrant, sizzling acidity, sparking with tangerine and green apple at the forefront. Orange blossoms, wet stone, oh so subtle petrol, and citrus zest with a long crisp finish. No rush here.

I liked the 2019 vintage but 2020 disappointed me a lot. I don’t know if this bottle was off but it was lacking acidity and was just bluntly sweet. There was also a note that was simply unpleasant. I have five more bottles and will update if they diverge from this bottle.

Notes of white flowers and apple. Faint minerality. Very soft due to resting on skins. Quite sweet, typical for German Riesling.

Mest pære på duft, noe appelsinskall. Relativt søt kabinettstil, men den bærer sødmen fint og fremstår relativt lett. Deilig mineralitet og noe urter som skinner gjennom frukten mot slutten av smakskurven. Supre saker!
