2014 Domaine Perrot-Minot Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru La Richemone Vignes CentenairesPinot Noir more |
3/3/2024 - Lollipop Likes this wine: 92 pointsRipe, powerful, dark fruit. Those old vines are really make their mark here and they still deliver remarkable concentration. Decanted and with time it opened up but might have benefited from 2-3 more hours to really mellow it out. This is such a different wine from the other Richemone cuvee from Perrot-Minot which is so graceful and elegant and gentle. Best suited for a wintery and meaty dish. |

12/25/2023 - bram_epicurien Likes this wine: 91 pointsChristmas evening in megeve, pairing with pintade. Decanted for 2 hours, from a magnum. Red cherry, ash, black pepper, wet forest floor, mushroom on the nose. Med acidity, med alcohol, med body, med flavor intensity, dry tannins, med finish. Red fruit, cherries, roses, orange, light touch of capsicum, ash, milk chocolate, wet forest floor, i like the lingering greenness. Very enjoyable and perfectly pairing with pintade. |

10/13/2016 - Mossrose wrote: 97 pointsMy second favorite wine at the Wine Watch 1985 horizontal tasting of 6 red Burgundies. Enticingly perfumed, big and rich, with a very caressing texture. Delicious fruits of blackberry and black cherry. Tannin that manages to be both silky and drying. Overall, drinks magnificently for a 31 year old red Burgundy, that demonstrates why so many Burgundy lovers wisely filled their cellars with the 1985 vintage. |

10/23/2023 - burghound10 wrote: 91 pointsVery Polished, good power and concentration. Dark fruit typical of NSG, but not the rusticity one would expect. Early in its drinking window. I've been enjoying the 2012s immensely over the past year and this delivers. Dark fruit, somewhat muted nose. highly recommended especially if you can get for sub $100. No rush here. |

10/12/2023 - mclanew Likes this wine: 95 pointsPopped and poured. What a phenomenal wine from a great vintage. Attractive nose with scents of slightly sour cherry and tea. The palate is medium bodied, really well balanced, mature but showing no signs of decline. Black and red cherry, earth, iron and tea. Builds complexity with air in the glass. |

9/11/2023 - CPSchoeff wrote: 88 pointsDP Barcode #s, Pinot Noir, and Sweeties (DeeCee): Slight orange edge to the otherwise garnet color. Abysmal rotten egg sulfur aromas that just wouldn't blow off. Rating here based on my final tastes nearly 4 full days after opening. The palate finally emerged with a mix of red fruit and mineral notes and a stern collection of chewy tannin. Sulfur nose did not subside for days! Off bottle?? |

6/30/2023 - blacktruffle Does not like this wine: 89 pointsStrawberries and light oak toast on the nose. Bitter cherries and mild tannins with good acidity on the palate. This appears off-balance and slightly bitter. Second bottle with similar traits. Maybe the wine is going through an awkward phase? Not recommended unless this improves with more age. |

This is some subtle minerality along with that velvety elegant palate. As the night progressed there is a delicious soy finish that I love so much marking secondary development along with a long luscious finish. Won’t be long before I share my final bottle. |

4/26/2023 - philmtl Likes this wine: NRShows some bricking on the edge but still a nice youthful red hue. The nose shows the age with earthy tones and fallen leaves to the blackcurrant and redcurrant. Some sweet spices and a hint of crushed stones appear with time. The palate shows some tertiary flavors but the fruit and structure (acidity, tanins) is still strong. This didn't budge at all 90 minutes after opening. No deposit at all. Good and it can still hold the road for a while. |

3/31/2023 - Collector1855 wrote: 91 pointsDuring a 2013 vintage tasting. The conclusion was that 1er Crus are in an early drinking window, while the Grand Crus need a good 5 more years. The vintage has elevated acidity but the tannins were more polished than in 2014 which we had a few weeks back. Also the wines have compact fruit. All this makes them well suited for further cellaring. TN: Nice nose of red fruit iwth lovely spices and some earthy elements. The palate feels a bit too light, may be that is the price you pay for having a VV offering from the same site where all the good stuff goes. |

2/2/2023 - drjb Likes this wine: 94 pointsAnother beautiful bottle of this wine with no discernible oak signature but rather an integrated cascade of lovely fruit with accents of spice and game that provide savoury balance to the rich fruit of both the nose and the palate. There is a touch of liqueured cherry fruit that persists through the palate that is quite beguiling in this very pure example of NSG. |

12/16/2022 - melvinyeowq wrote: 92 pointsPommard / NSG 1ers: Signature Laurent nose with toasted oak and cola that made the producer easily identifiable. Very silky texture for a NSG with delineated fruit. I liked this but some found it to be a little boring which I could understand since Laurent's wines can be a little predictable with the producer's signature. Second on the night for me. |
