It's a steal at WL's discounted price, but this didn't really rock my world.
Tannins are hard, so I would't open it for few years. (I opened mine because the label was damaged)
Rustic.

Mr Kermit Lynch rules, but this wine didn't meet my high expectations.
It's got good acid, but it tasted somewhat simple and slightly boring.
Perhaps, it'll develop in few years?

Has some pure fruit nose, and really doesn't act like Sangiovese. There is no old world in this bottle.
Transparent body with alcohol kick from nose to palate ending with bitter finish.
It has some pretty flavors underneath the vodka.

Somewhere between old world and new world.
Great classic cabernet with chalky tannins and cassis. Well intergrated oak.
Paired very nicely with a cuban skirt steak.
Very glad that I have two more bottles, and I feel comfortable to cellar them for many years.

Can't believe I paid under $15 for this - kudos to Ian and Kmurph for promoting this wine.

Enough sweetness to get approval from my riesling-loving-gal.
On the nose, I picked up flowers and hint of that yellow juicy fruit chewing gum, and my gal picked up fresh tuna salad.
Fresh.

Needed about 20 minutes to open up., then it just got better and better.... (so, please don't drink this up within 1 hour)
Hint of bourgogne-like stinkiness and menthol tobacco on the nose. Cherry juice. Well balanced acid.
Palate was generous, and that generosity was achieved with low alcohol (13%), and for this, I love Loire Valley.
Certainly cabernet franc. Delicious tannins. Old World. Good length on the finish.

10/13/2011 - Number51 wrote: 87 points

Great - Alcohol low at 13.6%. Very bright on the nose and palate.
Somehow, this wine with its high acid and brightness reminds me of some Pic St. Loup that I had before.
I love high acid, but this is a bit too much, especially when you don't expect that much from a bottle of Cabernet.
I couldn't drink this without food.
I don't think I'd want to open this for bunch of friends since many of them won't appreciate such high acid.
Well made wine regardless.
(2nd day was not good....)

9/22/2011 - Number51 wrote: 89 points

Given that I paid $27, I'm debating between 88 and 89.
Even if this was a blind tasting, I'd have guessed Australian Shiraz.
It's got that jammy and sweet hedonistic fruit.
It is good, but I'm just not that impressed, and at same time, I wasn't in mood for such a fruit bomb.
Alcohol level is reasonable at 14.5% (it doesn't feel higher), so I'm happy about that.

This score is based on that I paid like $20~$23 for this wine.
Right out of the bottle, this has an amazing nose - perfumy with black cherries and little bit of pepper.
It's good on the palate too, but I love the nose better.

I was so curious what this supermarket wine was all about, so I spent $9. (I know I overpaid a bit)
Vodka was dominant on the nose and palate. I was very surprised to see 13.5% alc on label.
There is some blackberry on the nose/palate, but the tannins are very bitter, and the finish is short.
There is some pleasant sweetness. One good thing about this wine is that it doesn't taste too artificial. (compared to some low-end california cabernet's that have vanilla wood chips and sugar)
I've had worse wine, so this isn't so bad. It is certainly drinkable, but why insist on buying this wine over and over?

So beautiful... especially at the price of $20 that I paid..
It has this wonderful dried flowers, plum and cherries on the nose.
A bit of bitter tannins on the palate (I admit this wine is better on the nose than palate)
14% alcohol is really well integrated. I'm extremely sensitive to alcohol, but I don't feel the heat here. (I consider 14% to be high)
I wouldn't recommend this to new-world-fruit-bomb-heads.
Quite dry.

I'm not a california-chardonnay person, but this is pretty good for $17 that I paid.
14.2% alcohol is too high for me, but then it is very reasonable for a cali wine.
It's quite tropical on the nose and palate. I can sense the oak, but it isn't too crazy.
Amount of oak is balanced - it's NOT butter in your face!

15.1% alc on label, nose, and palate.
I bought it without knowing the alcohol content.
To be fair, I won't score this wine because it probably just isn't my style of wine.
I couldn't drink half the glass. I had it right after pulling from 60 degrees kept cellar, so the serving temperature was right, but TOO MUCH HEAT.
In my mind, it is 75 point wine.

I'd score it 83, but it may not be a fair judgement given that I didn't give it enough time to come around.
Hence, I don't want to contribute to the overall score.
