Served with Sunday supper of Pasta Alla Olio and Eggplant Parmigianino in an Eisch wineglass. Smooth starts with a nice hint of tart grass and then rounds to a hint of grapefruit. Certainly worth the price of admission, strong enough to hold up to the garlic in the Pasta Alla Olio.

Surprisingly dry for a Merlot. chewy on the palette with an starts out with hints of rotted, tart fruit and transitions to pine nuts and resin - not at all typical of a Merlot.

Wow - truly exceeded our expectations - served it with a simple Salmon Dinner that was accompanied by a nice spicy Tomato and Jalapeño salsa that Chris concocted "on the fly" to accompany the fish. Originally I was afraid the fish and salsa would simply overpower this wine but it did not. The wine:
- lovely honeysuckle yellow hue with relatively thin legs in the glass;
- a mix of white grape, tart pear and green apple with just a hint of oak on the nose;
- on the palate it starts out by showing you the green apple and then the tart pear before whatever sweetness was there become a lovely clean "spicy" light oak aftertaste that simply made sure the wine was not at all modulated by the wild salmon or the jalapeño - tomato salsa we had it with.

Now I wish I had bought more than just this one bottle - a couple of these would be awesome for a Bahamas Fishing Trip dinner ... oh well on to the next vintage and bottle but I will look for more from this producer!

Pretty good even though we kept is past it's prime it aged well; thin legs, nice golden color in the glass. Minimal on the nose - mainly alcohol and oak on the nose but the palette is tart apple and American oak - drier than most Viognier but still a good wine.

Aerated and decanted for 4+ hours... A bit thin but not ugly, initially a fair amount of oak and alcohol on the nose and palate then "rounds" like a bumpy tire to a mix of sour berries and tar... nit really a favorite but I think I cellared this for a couple years too long....

My wife loved this wine - I found it a bit schizophrenic as I felt like I could distinctly taste both the Syrah and the Sangiovese grapes ... but to each his own for the price to have found a red wine my wife really likes means I'll "put up" with the schizophrenia with high end pizza and good red gravy on a pasta dish with this wine....

Awesome - Big Fruit, mild oak; lots of tart cherry and plum but very dry so that when you have your second glass it's all still awesome but also your tongue feels like sandpaper. Complimented our surf and turf (cajun blakened ribeye) excellently!

Oaky nose. Nice oak. Good acid not too much but some hints of alchohol, good now, some fruit but not alot left on the pallete. hints of cassis and spice but not overly complex or very layered in its presentation. Reasonably pleasant finish of sour/tart fruit.

Nose of citrus and honey; lovely hone gold color with nice legs in the glass. On the pallette there are hints of sweet grass mixed with honey and slight citrus (sweet red grapfruit?) - a nice value for a solid, fun desert wine and while there is some complexity, there are no layers - everything hits the pallette pretty much at once and the finish is unexceptional.

Best wine I have ever tasted - it is everything you read about in all the reviews. Starts out with awesome color in the glass; and a big, spicey, complex nose that then translates and includes a hint of rough dark choclate as well as all that and more on the pallette and the finish just keeps going and going and going. Truly wonderful, layered complex heaven in a bottle!

Ruby in the glass, nice nose, very closed and tannic initially (after decanting for an hour or so) then rounded somewhat but still tannic, someone else's earlier review mentioned the hint of tabbacco and in this bottle I found that to be true, though somewaht more than a hint. Nice earthy Bordeaux, though for some reason I couldn't shake the fact that because of the nose, I kept expecting something bigger and more complex on my pallate and this wine never delievered anything like that. Pleaseant and very good with the beef dish we served it with (Beef Burgandy), held up to those foods and complimentented well but not sure it would hold up well with game like venison.

Opened, and then chilled and decanted for 3+ hours. Lovely color in the glass, - lots of fruit and citrus on the nose. Starts out full and even slightly buttery on the pallete and then finishes with a fair amount of grass and citrus on the tongue. A great bottle of wine for the the price given I forgot about it and left it in my cellar for a couple years longer than I intended. Will go lovely with tonights pepercorn tilapia filets.

Wow - still a fair amount of tannin; wine has great legs and a deep almost purple color in the glass. Good bouquet but still a fair amount of alchohol on the nose. Wine starts out chewy and then grabs your tongue and leaves if "leathery" on the finish. Had it with medium seasoned steak and heavily garliced green beans and kale. This wine stood up to all that and then some. Really surprised it was as good as it was...

Deep, deep purple with reasonable legs in the glass. Earthy fruit on the nose. Lots of tannin but almost no oak at all on the palette, the earthiness rounds to a sour, tart plums and cherries with no sweetness left at all.

A bit sweeter than when we tasted at the store but still very fruity and good with our Thanksgiving Turkey. Not complex, just a straightforward (all fruit forward) sweeter than average red wine. Likely better paired with chocolates after dinner than as a wine with turkey but it was an experiment I wanted to try.
