9/16/2022 - bradleyrhill Does not like this wine: 83 pointsI want to like it, and I love a lot that this winery does, but this was thin with some funk. I’d almost say it’s a cork issue, but I’ve had many a bottle of Dutton Ranch and many the same. More earthy with mushrooms and moss, might be others flavor profile. |

1990 Château GloriaSt. Julien Red Bordeaux Blend more |
2/4/2021 - bradleyrhill Likes this wine: 91 pointsDecanted 2 hours but really showed best a few more into it. Some mold under the foil but cork in good shape. Muted earthy nose with must that showed age. Lean wine, but more fruits than I expected, silky tannins, typical left bank characteristics hidden behind some age. Really nice and glad I cellared, but drink up on this! |

2016 Pax Syrah Castelli-Knight RanchRussian River Valley more |
11/25/2020 - bradleyrhill Likes this wine: 92 pointsReally enjoyed, but obviously young. For me, the prominent theme was whole clusters, with the green bell pepper and herbs, that is likely going to mellow with age. It cut the lively acidity that will allow this to cellar for years. Added a nice complexity to the pepper and big black berries. Glad I have more! |

11/15/2020 - bradleyrhill Likes this wine: 93 pointsDrinking really well right now, I’d recommend not holding any longer. Decanted for an hour, but opened up over the evening. Also had an issue with cork crumble, but wasn’t wet. Fruits initally muted, but opened up to nice dark berries. Very enjoyable now. Drink up! |

8/29/2020 - bradleyrhill Likes this wine: 89 pointsAgree with previous comment, upon opening funky to the point of manure on the nose and flat on the palate. After two hours nose mellowed and wine opened to crunchy berries, black and green pepper. Medium tannins. Ended up quite enjoyable. |

2/23/2020 - bradleyrhill Likes this wine: 89 pointsTasting note from day 3, don’t recall when opened. Nose has green peppers and spice, thinking whole clusters but a guess. Some crisp red currant with smokiness. A little on the stewed fruit side, which isn’t my preference, but not overly so and still enjoyable. Will cellar a bit and try again in years. |
