11/29/21, 1:19 PM - Sounds like it needs a couple more years of cellaring?
11/8/21, 8:01 PM - Never have had a finger lakes wine.
8/31/21, 6:50 PM - Nice pairing suggestion. Love TN’s with a food pairing that I add to my private notes when applicable. Thanks.
8/31/21, 2:37 PM - I have a few 2017’s of this. Nice to see it’s aged well.
8/29/21, 2:06 PM - Good producer.
8/7/21, 2:57 PM - Agree.
8/2/21, 9:29 AM - I agree with your comments. This is excellent QPR wine with complexity and great taste. I love the Laurene also.
7/21/21, 6:46 PM - I would have thought this was well past.
7/20/21, 4:28 PM - I had these days gone by.
7/20/21, 4:27 PM - Nice….you still have several more….interesting if they go another five years
7/15/21, 2:17 PM - I bet it was off. The woods and moss just doesn’t match the profile, and I would never describe the color as light rose. It is distinctive orange copper. Annual favorite of mine.
7/1/21, 6:11 AM - This is a good QPR producer. The single vineyard wines are good also.
6/30/21, 2:15 PM - I'm ready to try one of these.
6/27/21, 4:19 PM - Never seen this one before….Lamb and cab is always a good pairing.
6/12/21, 3:02 PM - I have a Pinot from mount eden.
6/9/21, 7:45 PM - The Wine Access private label wines that Britt Nichols produces are called Karo-Kann. I’ve had a couple of the Cabs…pretty good value.
6/5/21, 5:01 PM - Agree….very consistent 91-92 every year
5/28/21, 6:07 PM - I bet these could age 10 years.
5/28/21, 6:26 AM - Where would I know him from?
5/26/21, 1:32 PM - What exactly are you smelling and/or tasting?
5/22/21, 9:45 AM - What’s your thought of aging potential?
5/21/21, 8:52 AM - I'd give another bottle a try with a 2 hour decant. It opens up and is similar to the 18 after some aeration.
5/18/21, 2:25 PM - That's a nice mistake.
5/15/21, 3:31 PM - I agree
5/11/21, 4:50 AM - Nice write-up. Thanks. Looking forward to the half case purchased. What's your early take on ageworthiness?
5/10/21, 3:09 PM - This producers Brunello is decent and good QPR.
5/9/21, 3:45 PM - Good to hear. I have one bottle left, and like you, my last one a couple years ago was less than memorable. Here’s hoping my last one is at a place where your recent bottle is.
5/9/21, 1:21 PM - Sounds great.
5/8/21, 3:52 PM - Good review. I have a few of these and based on your input, I’m thinking they are a hold for a few more years.
5/4/21, 1:57 PM - I've shied away from pinot and pasta sauce also. I still find that sangiovese is the best grape pairing for pasta and sauce.
4/28/21, 1:52 PM - Sounds like a nice wine.
4/22/21, 8:37 AM - looks like a good value find.
4/21/21, 12:49 PM - Did you detect smoke taint with an earlier tasting?
4/13/21, 7:01 AM - I had six of these at one point....long gone. Glad to hear it aged well.
4/11/21, 1:58 PM - Disappointing score. Did you taste test this or buy sight unseen?
4/9/21, 6:45 AM - Pinot and salmon is always a good pairing. Nice bottle.
4/2/21, 6:54 AM - Don’t see much of the Chard from Heitz.
3/24/21, 2:26 PM - That's great. I have 4 of the 2010...and I'm going in this year to try my first one.
3/23/21, 5:14 PM - $15 wines rarely age well. I'm sure this was ok in 2014-2015
3/16/21, 5:34 AM - I always like the QPR of the two annual blends.
3/14/21, 5:58 PM - Sounds great
3/10/21, 5:13 AM - The Regular CC from this producer is good value at $17/$18...but it’s a drink now kind of wine...not a big ager.
3/9/21, 8:25 AM - Nice price for mountain fruit.
3/8/21, 9:41 AM - agree
3/2/21, 6:02 AM - Good content here. I had an '09 with christmas roast, and it was excellent. I agree with the change in extraction and fruit forwardness...I think its after 2010.
2/26/21, 2:48 PM - Great content, thanks.
2/10/21, 4:06 PM - As a daily successful gambler, who's also a wine collector, there is something amiss variance wise with this vintage. 4 or the last 30 reviews have been flawed or poor reviews, while the other 87.5% are stellar reviews, as are the pro's reviews. So, this variance tells me there's something off in lot bottling or wholesale distribution.
1/20/21, 2:48 PM - Good to hear. Nice review.
1/14/21, 8:54 AM - Agree with your rating. I got this wine a few months ago, as our wine group has gone virtual and we have a weekly zoom virtual tasting. A couple months ago, it was Washington State wines, and my only one was a 15 year old cab that I didn't want to open. So off to a local wine store I went, and I came home with this. Just an excellent wine. I have since bought 2 more 15's and 6 16's just last week from Wine Access.
11/28/20, 12:27 PM - Good to see this is still holding up....I have one each from 03,04,06,07 and was wondering if they had passed the drinking window.
Thanks for letting us know about this problem. We will review your comments and be in touch soon with an update.
