This special-release will not disappoint lovers of this distillery. The Storm bottling ofers up a rich, slightly bigger, creamy style compared to the 10-year. Strong fruit at frst like banana and apples are complemented by salt, and a good dash of campfre smoke. A great dram that reminds you how versatile Scotch can be. A perfect pairing with oysters! I really did not like this grappa. It tasted more like a grape brandy than a grappa. I wouldn’t purchase it again.

Needs at least 1 to 2 hours in a decanter and then it really settles down and is very good.

Drinking beautifully. Soft and smooth. Decanted for around 1.5 hours prior to drinking. Started off a little thin in the middle but then it filled in.
Not bad for a 25 year old wine.

Opened around 12 noon. Decanted around 3. Drank around 7. Was concerned! Tasted over time and it seemed watery and disjointed. By the time we actually drank it, it was great. Still drinking well. Who was the wine maker for that vintage?

Good structure but probably needs a long decant. Did not open up after one hour in the decanter. Next bottle I will go for a 4 hour decant.

I agree with the last tasting note. Anything but tight at opening. Really flavorful.

Too sweet. Got in a sampler pack from Lot 18. Not worth the money.

I just opened a bottle expecting the worst given recent reviews. Definitely not over the hill. Drinking beautifully. Full and lush. Luckily for me, the past comments probably kept the bidding down on auction.

Opened it up and immediate decanted. Took a taste after around 20 minutes and said this was fantastic. Just the kind of wine I love. Came back around half an hour later and everything interesting about the wine disappeared. Was a very uninteresting bottle during dinner. What a disappointment.

I opened this up and decanted it. I had a taste and noticed that it had a hollow middle and was a little watery. I thought that maybe decanting this wouldn't be a good idea so I poured it back in the bottle and just let it sit. Around an hour later we sat down for dinner and I tried it again. Still a little hollow and watery but getting a little fuller. By the time dinner was finishing, the wine was really opening up. It was getting rounder and I was just starting to get a hint of the spices to come. Oh well, I will let my other bottle sit for a while and next time, I will decant.

Not very interesting $20 bottle of wine. No dimensions to it but nice silky mouthfeel. Bought from Lot 18.

I would not pay attention to the drinking window suggested for this wine. Probably needs to sit for years from now prior to opening.

Decant! Decant!! Decant!!! We got hints of what it might taste like, some hints of some interesting spices, but they never came out. Either put in the cellar for a number of years or decant at least 4 hours prior to drinking

On first sip... wow! It opened up with soft cedar and reminded me of an elegant merlot. But after that first sip, it became more disjointed. A variety of different tones that didn't all go together.
