Black cherry, purple flowers, and minty herbs on the nose. Ripe dark red fruit on the palate, big tannins, good aging potential. The warmth of the vintage comes through, but this is still a great wine. Better in 5-7 years.

Agree that the oak sticks out a bit on this. Was more integrated in a previous vintage I had tried. Still enjoyable -- went well with wood oven-grilled fish.

This was very closed on the first day out of 375. Almost thought it might be corked. Left it in the fridge for a couple days and it was drinking nicely. Nothing too complex, but nice balance.
