Saturday, August 25, 2018 - Lighter in color than the 2012 OV drunk last night, more lifted aromas but initially this is equally closed and monochromatic at this stage. Even after many hours of air, I'm not getting the sense that this has the layers of the OV in this vintage.
On day 2 this is greatly improved, the fruit is now showing as a delicious, sexy ripe red with a silky texture.
On day 3: OMG this is wonderful, with such beautiful texture. Ripe, but an absolute delight.
Hold for at least 5 years before revisiting.
