Tuesday, October 4, 2022 - I have waited and waited for these 2013s to get to that optimal place but I think this will be as good as it gets. Drinking nicely and a typical still fruity although more mature fruits of plums and black cherries, nicely acidic. Some bitterness to the noticeably present tannins which might settle down with time, but the fruit isn’t getting any better. I would say drink now and appreciate for what they are, I don’t expect a big transformation.

10/5/2022 5:21:00 AM - Nice note. I question the longevity of their wines but in my opinion they show pretty well young. It’s crazy how much their prices have increased. My father use to be a member of their wine club but then the prices got silly. Take care.

I used to believe all the press out of wine country 1000% but not anymore. There will be some who miss even during great years, and they'll still try to lump themselves in with all the great ones.

10/29/2022 3:52:00 PM - I had a '13 Turnbull Reserve last week that was quite good...I think I have one left. The '13 Hartwell Merlot is awesome, too. I've got a ton of '13s left.....Arietta H Block, Favia Cerro Sur, Amapola Creek cab, La Jota etc....
