Saturday, October 15, 2022 - J.L. Chave Hermitage vertical tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Double decanted some hours before. Clear, deep golden colour with an amber hue. Very round and soft nose with some bees wax.
On the palate bold and powerful. Medium acidity. 14% abv that are well integrated. Spicy, bees wax, floral, white blossoms. Round and balanced, but also with a nice tension and depth. Long, fruity and waxy finish. Potential for another decade or even more. 93+
