Tuesday, December 13, 2022 - An initial bouquet of menthol, shoe polish and leather was repeated on the palate with added notes of cream and talc. Unfortunately it was more astringent than tannic and I felt there may have been a touch of volatility as well as starting to dry out. I haven’t tasted Tignanello in a very long time but this was well past its best. Pity, as I was really looking forward to this wine in particular. CHP 83pts
