Friday, February 24, 2023 - Dark translucent ruby color. Fresh nose of intense red and dark berry, heady violets, iodine, and sea air. Layers of buoyant iron-inflected dark berry fruit cut with black cherry, fine soil, and anchoring stone on the palate. Crystal clear detail and disarming freshness, with surprising depth and concentration. Bright acidity and filed off tannin. Long finish of almost crunchy red fruit, subtle iron, briar, and granular dirt. We’ve been fortunate enough to sample this wine 6 times, this latest showing the best yet. An absolute delight.
