Sunday, March 12, 2023 - Tasted double blind. This showed promising but will need more time to soften further and fill out more as it showed a bit thin towards the finish. The attack, however, showed very layered and I guess with a few more years of age this could become a fantastic wine.

TN: Medium expressive nose with ripe dark berries, smoke and earthy notes. On the palate there are menthol notes, dark red berries, crushed rocks, stems, some vegetal notes. The precision is quite good. High-quality tannins but in need of further softening. Good acidity backbone. Missing a bit of complexity as it is one-noted from mid-palate into the finish.

Decanting: Not decanted, I guess an hour+ in the decanter would be good here.
