The hands down winner, at every phase! The ethereal bouquet bends the bind, evokes all the finest senses, and uplifts the soul. Violets, roses, sweet red and purple berries, sweet pipe tobacco, wintergreen, mint, menthol, and light petrol. Friggin' gorgeous!
Powerful substance throughout. A wine of the ever-lovin'-earth! Hell Yeah! It tastes like it smells and graces every part of the palate. Medium plus to high acid. Medium to medium plus, deceptively fine tannins. The whole package! The back delivers incredible grip and the finish knows no quit...nor apparently the definition thereof.
Among the finest Barolo or Barbaresco offerings I have crossed path with...ever. Ravishing! Worth seeking out! 97-98!

3/23/2023 6:44:00 PM - The equal of the '16 vintage, if for slightly different reasons. My favorite Barolo house, that features sub $100 offerings. They treated me like royalty upon visiting several years back.

3/23/2023 6:48:00 PM - I haven't had the '16 Bricco delle Viole, but I had both the '15 and '16 Coste di Rose, and the '15 was superior. Vajra just hit it out of the park in '15.

3/24/2023 2:56:00 AM - Motz, you might love Vajra even more than I do:) My all round fav Barolo producer and still one of the best values for superb Barolo. I bought 3 of the '15 and haven't tried one yet. Just haven't gotten to one yet. Thanks for the note, sounds great!
