90 Points

Thursday, April 27, 2023 - Crimson in color. 14.6% ABV. Savory nose of red fruits, citrus and plums. Medium body with medium acidity. Rustic, Claret style field blend. Cherry, blood orange, smoke and pepper on the palate. Nice length on the finish. So clearly from the Bedrock block at Papera where Zinfandel takes a back seat to the other varieties. Somewhat underwhelming given the hype for this particular wine. Best over the next 2-3 years.
