The wine was open from beginning to end, and only got better as dinner progressed. One of the best 2019s I've tasted (though it's no 2019 Montrose), best Rauzan-Segla ever? Rivals the 1986, though VERY differently styled. A stunning, stunning wine, ends up on the classy side rather than the slutty 14.5% profile. In the end, I'm enthusiastically with Jeff: 97 points. For me, it blows away the Lynch Bages from the 2019 vintage. I am thrilled to have five more bottles. Again, much thanks Mark Golodetz for linking me to Zachys at $75 per bottle, a very fair price for this outstanding 97 point Margaux appellation wine.
