92 Points

Sunday, January 14, 2024 - 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Malbec, 7% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot from an idyllic vintage.
With airtime aromas open with mountain herbs, bay leaf, mocha, cigar, plum and brambly blackberry come with notes of iodine, iron, and warm stone with nuances hinting at leather, wild meats, petrichor and sous bois.
On the palate this wine shows above moderate density, with berry like acidity and well-integrated moderate to moderate plus tannins. Flavors of smashed blackberry, black currant, and plum that come seasoned with notes of pepper, herbs, bay leaf, Nicaraguan tobacco, mocha, bramble, earth and traces of iodine and iron that linger through the finish that hangs on with notes of coffee grounds and earth.
