Saturday, January 20, 2024 - I was looking for something rich, dense and satisfying to drink on a cold, snowy winter night. This one certainly fit the bill and delivered the goods.
Decanted for 2 1/2 hours prior to evaluation
Extremely dark purple color; blackberry nose
Incredibly concentrated fruit notes of plum and currant qlong with grape hard candy. Secondary notes of tobacco and roast meat. Tannins are present but unobtrusive. Plush mouthfeel with a healthy dose of mouthwatering acidity that cuts through the dense primary flavors while refreshing the palate. Outstanding effort!
