Friday, March 15, 2024 - CdB MN Spring Event (Minneapolis Club, Mpls, MN): Very dark red/purple color. Drank a glass over 90 minutes. Splash double decanted and slow-O for 2 hours. CS55, M39, CF3, PV2, C1. Dried earth, dried wood, dark fruits, cassis, pencil lead on the nose. The palate shows an interesting dichotomy of ripeness while still displaying a green streak in the middle. There's plenty of glycerin that helps counter the wood, deeper and fuller than the even more austere '06.
