Sunday, July 26, 2009 - 2009 International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) Passport to Pinot (McMinnville, OR): Fresh, meaty, almost like a pate aroma on the nose. Very soft, like plum compote aroma... Very nice mid-palate, showing clean, integrated fruit. Clean, integrated, smooth, and drinking within its prime window. This is truly delicious. Almost meaty on the finish as well. Still has some bitter tannins, but it's very nice. Most integrated wine of the tasting so far.
